ABOUT Minister Jordan

Greetings! My name is Nathaniel Jordan.

I am a Nationally Certified Health Coach with the American Council on Exercise, and a certified Master Trainer with the National Federation of Professional Trainers. I started my health journey five years ago in October of 2011, after reaching a body-weight of 260 pounds and 30% bodyfat. I utilized the traditional diet of moderation and portion size control combined with vigorous exercise to lose 75 pounds by April of 2012. I continued losing weight until I reached 168 lbs, 4% bodyfat by November of 2012.

Eventually, low-carb portion control dieting became too difficult to maintain, and I began to slowly put weight back on, reaching 195 pounds in May of 2013. It was at this time, I read “Eat to Live” by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, and the information in his book changed my life forever. For the first time in my life, I learned the connection between what we EAT, and disease. As I mastered eating to live, I witnessed the miraculous power of a nutrient-dense plant-RICH diet-style, when I cured myself of high triglycerides, when a Cardiologist was looking to place me on prescription medications. He was shocked when my levels went from over 300mg to under 70mg in just 42 days.

I also cured myself of frequent headaches, and my aching joints got a lot better. I continued diving into the knowledge about the relationship between food and disease, and the more I learned, the more I desired to share my experience and expertise with the world. So in 2014 I became a Certified Personal Trainer, and in August of this year, I became a Certified Health Coach.

In addition to my passion for teaching people about Nutrition, I am an exercise nut. I have always enjoyed exercise from the time I was a child. Even at 260 pounds, I could still do 21 consecutive pull-ups! I am a veteran of the United Stated Marine Corps and was a boxer on the All-Marine Boxing Team for an 8-month stretch from 2006-2007. I served as a Police Officer in the City of St. Louis from 2008-2016, and competed in Guns N Hoses in 2012, after having used boxing as the first exercise of choice to lose all my weight. Currently, I am a competitive powerlifter having won 1st place in a Deadlift competition in December of 2015 with a 545-pound pull, at only 180 pounds.

Lastly, I am a firm believer in Yahweh our Father, and our Master and Savior Yahushua HaMaschiac, whom the world knows as Jesus Christ. I follow the Teachings and Instructions of Yahweh as found in the Holy Bible. I truly believe, we must address our SPITIRUAL lives along with our nutrition for OPTIMAL longevity. The Holy Scriptures contains the GREATEST HEALTH MESSAGE in the world. To be blessed with a long life in excellent health, we must align our lives with the Word of Yahweh.

Why do I call myself The Minister of Wellness? Minister means “to serve,” and “wellness” is the ongoing process of being healthy.
